November looms.....the open fire and logburner are lit, the coffee shop is busy; we are serving meals every evening except Sunday & Monday; and our Thursday Steak night is usually SOLD OUT, so it's wise to book ahead!
It may be worth mentioning that we operate a Halloween Free Zone - so if you don't want the orange and pumpkins and the associated hype, and just want a normal night out next weekend - we're offering that!
On November the 1st we have another Food & Wine Matching Evening, 6 courses with 6 wines all with Italian connections, for only £30 - only 4 tickets left.
The next meeting of the Hamble Business Group is on Thursday 3rd November at 7.30am in "The Lower Deck" of The King & Queen- it's growing from strength to strength and is great for networking but also is becoming useful as a forum where issues affecting all local business can be discussed.
Entries are now being accepted for The K&Q Poker Rib Raid - run in aid of the Hamble Lifeboat, with the help of JM Yachting and Coastline Ribs. It's a fun day out on the water, on Saturday 12th November, a game of chance ( The Poker Game) and skill (Navigating around the Central Solent). Wrap up warm, have a blast around, win some prizes, and then back to the pub for a party - AND raise much needed funds for our charity. Please ask at the bar for entry forms and details. On Sunday Evening, 13th November, some of "Frankie & The Squealers" will once again be playing live starting at 6.30pm - a collection for The Hamble Lifeboat will be made so please keep this date free as well as all your loose change!
The Christmas Party Menu is available for group bookings from the beginning of December. Please contact us if we can host your party. Two and Three course meal options - lunches and evening bookings available.
On Christmas Day we will be open as usual for drinks between 12 and 3pm and then closed for the rest of the day. On New Year's eve we will be operating as a proper pub - no tickets required however entry will be at the Landlady's discretion - a BBQ and mulled wine will be available and we plan to close at 2.00am.
