**It's been a long, lovely, busy summer, but now we've swept the chimneys and ordered the wood. Hopefully we'll still be able to keep you watered, fed and entertained as the long winter nights draw in, with good freshly made food, a great selection of real ales and fab live music all in front of a real log fire and a new wood burner in The Lower Deck, The old Bistro, at The K&Q.
Our first Autumnal event is on the 2nd October. It is a Rib Poker Raid, suitable for ribs with a minimum speed of 20 knots. `It is once again a charity event - with all funds going to the Hamble Lifeboat. Anyone with a rib can enter - we even have ribs available for charter from JM Yachting at a discounted rate for the event, for those who don't own their own rib.
It is an all day event with Breakfast and a Briefing at The K&Q at 10am; ribs then meet at Bald Head before proceeding to various buoys in the Solent to collect the poker cards and the next co-ordinates. The on-water part of the event should be finished by 3.00pm with the poker cards being opened in the pub to determine the winning hand and find any jokers in the pack at 4.00pm. Fantastic Prizes have been donated by our sponsors JM YACHTING - eg Powerboat Level 2 Courses for 6 people etc. Entry fees are £25 per boat & Driver and £5 per passenger all of which goes to the Hamble Lifeboat.........Live Music, Food & Party to flow...........
